We Lose Interest In Those That Don’t Appreciate Us

The truth is that we lose interest in those that don’t genuinely love us. Those that take us for granted. Those that don’t accept us for who we are. Those that make us feel like we are unimportant. Like we are replaceable.

We lose interest in those that are not honest with us. Those that don’t tell it like it is. Those that hardly ever fulfill their promises. Those that like our qualities but don’t want to accept our flaws. Those that criticize us for our insecurities and fears.

We lose interest in those that don’t genuinely care about us. Those that have little or no regard for our feelings, needs, opinions, wishes, and problems. Those that don’t respect our needs. Those that always prioritize their happiness over ours. Those that only care about themselves.

We lose interest in those that make us feel like we don’t deserve their attention or effort. Those that choose our company just when they don’t have other “more important” things to do. Those that don’t enjoy being in our presence. Those that make us feel like we constantly have to fight for a place in their life. Those that put us last on their priority list.

We lose interest in those that don’t treat us with respect. Those that don’t treat us with compassion and dignity. Those that take advantage of our kindness. Those that behave like they’re superior to us. Those that think that we should beg for their attention and love. Those that treat us like a second option.

We lose interest in those that aren’t scared of losing us since they will never understand who we really are and how capable we’re of loving someone deeply, wholeheartedly, and unconditionally.

We lose interest in those that don’t appreciate us the way we deserve to be appreciated.

Because we know how we deserve to be treated.

Because we know who we are.

Because we love and respect ourselves too much to let someone make us doubt our worth and wonder whether we are worthy of love.
