You Won’t Have To Chase The Person Who Wants To Stay In Your Life

SHARE

We are all guilty of making excuses for people we love – they are busy with work, they are stressed, they have other things to do… and so on. Or you think that if only they would just spend more time with you, if only they would take the time to know the real you, then maybe they would fall in love with you and stay with you forever.

But, if you feel like you should stay there waiting for that person to come to their senses and realize how much they love you-you are wasting a precious time.

Because you will never have to wait or chase the person who really wants to be with you.

Just take a moment and think about how absurd it is to chase after someone who can’t even give you the time of day.

As for myself, I don’t want to wait anxiously by the phone for someone to text me back. I don’t want to be always on the edge expecting that my worst fear of them leaving me will become real. I don’t enjoy being always the one who plans interesting dates and comes up with fun things to say during conversations. I don’t want to be more invested in someone than they are in me.

I’ve never enjoyed the chase and I never will because trying too hard to make someone see my worth is unthinkable for me. I refuse to make space for someone who clearly doesn’t want to be in my life.

Do you have to work this hard for friendships? Or for family members? No. Those people who are meant to be in your life will stay regardless of anything that happens between you.

They will stay because they love you. They will stay because they don’t want to be away from you. They will stay because you bring them joy and happiness.

Anything else is not worth chasing.

You see, everyone has a free will to chose with whom they want to spend their time, who they want to see, with whom they want to build a solid foundation. And if someone is not choosing you – let them go.

Don’t try to prove yourself to anyone who is not seeing your worth. That’s the sign that that person is not meant to be in your life.

Because the right one won’t need proofs. They won’t need time. They will just show up in your world and stay.
