It’s Okay To Be Alone Because You’ll Learn How To Be Happy On Your Own

Because when you are alone, you are at peace. You learn how to stay still and be calm in your solitude. You learn how to make yourself happy without the presence of another person. You learn how to find happiness in the little things and enjoy your own company.

When you are on your own, you have to protect yourself and therefore, your boundaries are strong and clear. This doesn’t mean you are weak, or you are scared of pain. It also doesn’t mean that you don’t want to be vulnerable. It doesn’t mean that you are afraid to take a leap of faith into the unknown. It means that you are consciously removing yourself from unpleasant situations and people. It means that you are wise enough to not let anyone take advantage of you and hurt your feelings.

It’s Okay To Be Alone Because You’ll Learn How To Be Happy On Your Own

Being alone is being independent. When you are alone you learn how to count on yourself and depend only on your judgment. When you are alone, you don’t call your family and friends crying and asking them for help. You deal with your own things. You know how to take care of yourself and you don’t need anyone to be there for you and give you a hand.

It’s okay to be alone on holidays. It’s okay to be alone on your birthday. It’s okay to not have a date at your friend’s wedding. It’s okay to celebrate on your own. You may think that you look sad to the outside world, but you are portraying a brave, confident, and mature picture of yourself. Only a bold, confident, mature, and genuinely happy person can be unbothered with what other people think.

Others may think of you as an arrogant, selfish, and prideful person, but the truth is – you have a big heart. Once someone gets to really know you, they will be surprised by the depth of your love. Because your love is sincere and pure. You don’t play games. You are happy on your own, and if you decide to let someone into your life that person should also be genuine and kind like you.

Your walls can only be crashed by someone worth your time and love. By someone who can respect you and your world. Someone who understands the importance of being alone. Because being alone is a privilege and not many people have that.
