There are times when we receive love and support from the most unexpected person at the most unexpected place.
That’s the circle of love. Oftentimes, we give love to people who don’t love us back, only to receive love from people who aren’t the people that we gave love to.
People will come into your life for 3 things – a season, a reason, and a lifetime. And when you can distinguish between them, you’ll be able to reciprocate accordingly.
Those people who come for a season are exciting and enthralling, but they are not there to stay. That season has an endpoint. These people usually don’t care when you are hurting and alone. They care only when they are hurting and alone.
Others come into your life for a reason – to help you grow, to help you learn, and to support you when you need it the most. Never ever forget these people who were there for you when they had any reason to not be there. Those people who instead of thinking of an excuse to leave you, chose to stay and help you physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Finally, there are those who stay a lifetime with you. These are the ones that you often forgot, but you always missed. These are the people who never stopped loving you even when you weren’t giving anything to them.
Take a moment and ask yourself – who are those people? Who you have in your life that has been there for a lifetime? And most importantly, ask yourself how you can show your love to them.
Reach out to them. Make sure they know you care. They are the ones who will be by your side in the end.
