Sometimes God Doesn’t Give Us What We Want, Because We Deserve Better

I know. Sometimes, life isn’t fair. It doesn’t go according to our plans. It doesn’t happen the way we imagined it would. It takes us off the familiar road and changes our direction. It doesn’t give us the things we dream of. It doesn’t let us win the fight. It doesn’t reward us for trying so hard…

But have you ever thought that all of this might be God’s work?

Have you ever thought that perhaps all of your failures and heartbreaks are just stepping stones to something greater?

No? Well, think about it for a while. Give yourself time.

Sometimes God grants our wishes and gives us the things we are after. But sometimes, he refuses to help. He only challenges us to find a way and get there on our own. He lets us handle the situation the way we know. He gives an opportunity to fall down, make a mistake, and then learn from it. That’s how we learn. How we become stronger, wiser, braver.

Sometimes he waits for our move before it makes the step. Sometimes his invisible magic wand motivates us to keep digging until we find what we need. It moves us and gives us the strength to take action. To put in the hard work and see what happens. To realize that good things take time and more importantly, patience.

I am not wise enough to know why he sometimes makes some people struggle more than others. I wouldn’t know the answer to that. In fact, I don’t think any person alive would know the reason behind that. But, I know that when that happens, when he pushes us a bit too far, it is because he believes that we are capable of much more than we know. It’s because he believes we need change.

So, in those moments, the best thing you can do is accept those changes. Let them flow through you and live them. Learn from them, appreciate them, embrace them as a normal part of your life. Survive through them, no matter how difficult they seem and keep on moving forward. Most importantly, have faith that everything will work out for the best.

Because in the end, it is all for you. Everything that happens to you, everything that you are and you feel, is for a reason. Everything that God faces you with is because he knows that you are strong enough to handle it. Because at the exact moment, that’s what you need to go through to learn. To grow. To become a better version of yourself.

You, my dear, were not brought into this world to stay in one place. You were not born to stand still. You are here to move. To transform. To evolve. To make mistakes. To learn. To grow. To shift. More importantly, to create the life of your dreams.

So, what is stopping you?
