I can see the sadness in your eyes. You are tired of waiting. You are tired of making mistakes. You are tired of everyone telling you that there’s a lid for every pot. And I understand why.
But I don’t agree with what you are doing. It saddens me to see you like this. You refuse to perceive the beauty this world has to offer. You refuse to open your eyes and notice all of the opportunities lying around.
I know that your soul has been torn apart and sewn million times over and over again, I know that you don’t even know if you believe in love anymore, and I know that it’s easier said than done but hear me out.
True love exists. And just because you’ve been through so much pain doesn’t mean that you will never find someone who will understand your soul. You never know what the future holds. You never know what the next morning is going to bring. The only thing you can do is keep moving.
So, why would you want to give that up and settle for average?
I say WAIT.
And have faith, because one day love with find its way to you.
Wait for a person who will make you feel safe. Someone who will offer to shelter you from the cruel world. Someone who will feel like home.
Wait for a person who will understand your fears. Someone who will not judge you when your mind is clogged with unwanted thoughts, but instead will take care of you when your anxieties attack you.
Wait for a person who will help you realize why it never worked out with anyone else before them. Some who will prove to you that everything happens for a reason. Someone whose presence will make you feel like you know them from a past life.
Wait for a person who will be your shoulder to lean on. Someone who will wipe your tears and kiss your forehead. Someone who will hold you in their loving embrace and let you know that everything will be alright in the end.
Wait for a person who won’t be afraid to show you how they feel. Someone who will never leave you wondering whether what their true intentions are. Someone who won’t have a problem to undress their soul in front of you and let you inside their world.
Wait for a person who will show you that love is supposed to be effortless and natural, not difficult. Someone who will make your life a wonderful and thrilling adventure.
But most importantly, wait for a person who will see you and accept you for who you really are. Someone who will never try to change you. Someone who will fall in love with your imperfections and appreciate your differences.
There are too many things in life that are mediocre. Love should never be one of them. That is why I am begging you. Don’t settle for just about anyone. Don’t waste your love on people who are not worthy enough.
