I’m not the kind of person who will settle for being someone’s second choice, back up plan, or favorite pastime. I’m not the kind of person who can be with someone knowing that I’m not their first and only choice. Their priority.

I know who I am and I know my worth. I know what I deserve.
But, most importantly, I know how I love. When I love, I love hard, with every part of me. I fully commit myself to my partner. I unselfishly give them my heart, mind, and soul.
And this is exactly how I expect you to love me. But, if you’re not able to do that, if you’re not going to love me every single day, then let me go forever.
And I know things are not going to be easy. Because love is never a smooth journey.
And I know, too, that there’s no such thing as a perfect relationship. And neither will be ours.
We’ll go through many ups and downs. There will be days when we fight and get mad at each other. Days when loving me appears impossible. Days when you forget why you fell in love with me in the first place.

I can’t promise to be your perfect partner every day because I’m not perfect. I have faults, annoying habits, and insecurities that I face every day. I can get cranky and anxious for no reason. But, if you truly love me, you’ll accept me for who I really am, with all my virtues and imperfections.
Because that’s how love works. When you love someone, you accept and cherish every single thing about them. You don’t try to change them.

Love is like a beautiful fragrant flower that needs to be watered every day, otherwise, it’ll wither.
If our love is genuine, pure, and unconditional, there won’t be an obstacle we wouldn’t overcome. There won’t be a mountain we wouldn’t climb. There won’t be a storm we wouldn’t weather.
There won’t be a battle, we can’t win.
And that’s what I need and want you to do. I want you to fight for me with every fiber of your being. I want you to stay by my side when times get tough. I need you to make me feel like I’m the most loved and appreciated person in the world.
Yes, this is the kind of person I need you to be.
I want to be with someone who won’t get mad when I text them 6 times or call them when they’re with their colleagues at a meeting. Someone who won’t leave me to pick up the pieces of my heart by myself when it gets broken. Someone who will know what to say when I have a bad day or feel sad or angry.
I want to be with someone who will sacrifice themselves for our love if need be. Someone who will believe in us as a couple and fight for us through the worst of times, and never give up on us. Someone who will show me where I stand in their life and who will never make me question their love for me. Someone who will be proud of me.
I want to be with someone who will choose me every day and never think twice about that.
