A Letter To My BFF – Thank You For Always Being There For Me

SHARE

We all have that one friend who we know will always be there to catch us. The one who knows our heart and soul. The one who never let us down. The one who knows us at our deepest level and knows what we are thinking before we say a word.

They are the friend we go to first for every breakup, birthday, hookup, emotional breakdown, hurt, etc.

They love us even in moments when we don’t love ourselves. They are always there to catch us whenever we fall. Our safety net. The definition of unconditional love.

To my best friend. The one who is always there for me to catch me,

I love you. Every time I begin feeling as I would crumble down, you are there for me. Every time I start feeling anxious and as if I am carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders, you are there for me. Every time I start losing hope, you are there for me.

You are there to remind me that it will all be okay.

I never have to question your loyalty just as you never have to question my good intentions. Because we are always true to each other.

Every time I start losing my self-confidence and sense of worth, you are there to remind me that I am worth more. That I should not settle. And I love you for that.

You are my inspiration and motivation on days when getting out of bed is the hardest thing for me to do.

You were there for every relationship I’ve been in and told me the truth always. You didn’t hesitate to tell me I was an idiot when I chose to ignore them due to my own insecurities. You never allowed me to ruin a good relationship, and for that, I am forever grateful.

On the other hand, when someone didn’t treat me the way I deserve to be treated, you were the first one to tell me to leave and move the f*ck on.

You have zero tolerance for bullshit, and I love you for that.

Because of people like you, I still have hope that not everyone is bad. Because of you, I know people are good at heart.

You are the type of friend everyone wants to have in their lives.

You are my voice when I can’t talk.

You are my reason when I can’t think clearly.

You are my warm place when the world gets too cold and cruel.

You are my ride or die partner.

We are one soul.

Thank you for being my best friend.

Love you forever.
