Almost every movie makes us believe that we’re looking for that one perfect love. We’re supposed to wait around until our true love comes into our lives and take us in their arms. Sparks will fly and it will become a relationship that will last forever. Unfortunately, life isn’t a movie and that picture is not realistic.
It might not last forever. Even if it doesn’t, that doesn’t mean that you’re destined to be alone forever. You might not end up with the love of your life but you will still love again.
That Powerful Love
When you meet the one, everything else suddenly becomes meaningless. All you want is to be with them and you couldn’t imagine your life if they were gone. It’s as if they complete a part of you that you never knew was missing.
It’s a huge, bold romance. You think to yourself that “this is it,” you’ve found your soulmate and don’t need to worry about ever losing them. You think that you’ll be with them forever, that you’ll grow old together. Sometimes, that is the case, and it’s wonderful.
It Doesn’t Always Go As Planned
Sadly, we don’t always get to stay with the people that we love the most. Even though you thought that it would last, it might not. Love can’t win against everything. It can’t win against illness, death, irreconcilable differences, or terrible events that no one saw coming.
No matter how much you love someone, or how much they love you, it doesn’t always work out. You can’t always be with the person that you want to be with. Sometimes life gets in the way and you never know what could happen that will stop you in your tracks.
You Will Always Love
If you lose the love of your life, your heart will feel like it’s completely broken. It’s a devastating experience that will leave you wanting to never love again. You’ll shut yourself off because of it, telling yourself that there’s no point in being with anyone else.
As much as you want to fight it, you can’t tell yourself not to love. You’re human, and that means that you have so much compassion inside of you. Even if you want to deny it, you will fall in love again.
Different People Teach You Different Things
Maybe you’ll find a wonderful person who truly cares about you. They see the real you, make you happy, and fill your life with positivity. They’re not the person that you had before, but they’re a good person that you truly love. Don’t throw that away because you’re focused on something that once was.
Your new partner could offer you something that your previous one didn’t. They could teach you to be a better person, to love yourself, to finally move on from your old love. They can show you that love grows, and the longer you stay with them, the more you’ll grow to love them. It could become a more passionate love than ever before.
You don’t always end up with the person that you thought was the one, but that’s okay. You will still love again and you can still live a happy life without them. Although losing them is heartbreaking, don’t close yourself off to the chance of new love. It can become something even more beautiful than before.
