Your Soulmate Won’t Complete You: They Will Inspire You To Complete Yourself

Who told you that you need to find your perfect half to be complete?

Who told you that finding a soulmate is the most important thing in life?

Don’t get me wrong. Personally, I do believe that there is someone out there for each and every single one of us. And I do believe that, sooner or later, we all find our soulmates in life. But here’s something that I will never ever agree with.

Your soulmate is not the missing piece of your puzzle. They are not the person that is supposed to complete you, make your life more interesting, make you happier, find your purpose in life or whatever… You get what I am saying.

If you are not happy or satisfied with how your life is going, you cannot expect to have all of that fixed by someone else. You are the only one who has to take responsibility for your life. You cannot count on anyone to save you but yourself. That is the only truth you need to hear.

One day you will find the one you were meant to be with. Your soulmate.

But they won’t complete you. They will only inspire you to complete yourself.

Your soulmate will help you see yourself for who you are. They will not judge you for your flaws. They will not criticize you for your mistakes. And they will not blame you for your failures. A soulmate will choose to accept your weaknesses and love them the say way they love your strengths. They won’t force you to change or fit a certain mold. A true soulmate will stand by your side, help you you’re your wounds and encourage you to be who you truly are.

Your soulmate will challenge you to challenge yourself. They will not only see the potential inside of you but they will also do everything in their power to encourage you to do something about it. A true soulmate will open your eyes and let you know how powerful you truly are. This person will see you in a way that you’ve never ever seen yourself. And for the first time in your life, you’ll finally feel ready to meet and greet that version of yourself.

A soulmate will not complete you. They will only inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and search for the things that will complete you and make all of your wildest dreams come true. A soulmate will change you. They will encourage you to move. They will lift you up. And they will love you.

But don’t ever expect a soulmate to complete you.

That is something you must do long before you find your soulmate. For true happiness can only be found within ourselves. We just need to brave enough to search for it.
