Stop Obsessing About Your Weight – The Right Person Will Love You Regardless Of Your Flaws

SHARE

We live in a world that encourages us to accept ourselves the way we are, but at the same time promotes beauty standards which remind us that we’re not good enough.

And no matter how hard you try, it feels impossible to embrace yourself and remember that you deserve to be loved when everything and everyone around you scream at your face how ugly, fat, skinny, flawed and weird you are.

It’s a sad, sad reality.

But here are here’s some good news for you.

Your appearance and your imperfections do not determine your worth. Your soul does.

And I know that it may sound impossible to some of you broken souls out there, but the right person will recognize your light and love you for who you are. Trust me on this.

Your weight has nothing to do with who you are as a person. It is just a number on the scale. Your clothes aren’t supposed to make you insecure. They are made to fit you. They might change the way you physically look, but they will never change what’s inside you. And that is what matters the most.

Stop for a second and think. Self-hate doesn’t do you any good. You are just hurting yourself. And the only person who profits from your self-damaging behavior is society. Google it and find out for yourself. When you see just how much an average American spends on weight loss, you will faint. The more you hate yourself, the more money you spend making yourself someone you are not.

You do not belong in that small circle of idealistic proportions that society has created. So, what? Why would you want to be just like everyone else? Not everyone fits in there. And that is completely fine. Because not everyone has to believe in or stick with the same beauty standards that society has imposed on us.

You have to find the courage within you, stand up and shout to the world “This is who I am”. Then you have to accept the shape of your body and size. More importantly, you have to find a way to fall in love with your flaws. Because your body is your temple. You are the only person who needs to take care of it.

Once you say those words that frighten you out loud, you will see that they’re given much more power and value than they actually have. Being overweight is not terrifying. Being different from the rest of the people is not a sin. If anything, it is a blessing. And at the end of the day, those numbers, that figure of yours, that amazing unique soul of yours, is what makes you different. They make you who you are.

Once you embrace your flaws and fall in love with the person you truly are, you will find that life can be truly beautiful. Self-love is the most important thing you need.

So, stop obsessing about your weight, appearance, and insecurities. Learn to accept yourself and love your body. A person worth your time won’t care about how you look. They will fall in love with your soul. They will love you for your overall beauty.

Try to remember this. You are a beautiful, amazing and extraordinary human being. You are special. You know why? Because you are truly one-of-a-kind.

There’s no one like you out there.
