Sometimes, When You Are Mentally And Emotionally Tired All You Need Is A Hug

There are times when you feel you can’t go on anymore. Times when you feel exhausted. Whether it is because of your job, relationship problems, or family arguments, emotional and mental exhaustion can happen for many reasons.

Here are 5 symptoms that indicate you are mentally and emotionally tired and you need to take a break.

1. YOU FEEL EMOTIONAL FOR NO APPARENT REASON

When you are emotionally and mentally tired, you lose power over your emotions. You may feel depressed and anxious for no reason. That’s because your feelings are out of sync. And any emotion you experience during your weariness will be elevated.

2. YOU HAVE A MENTAL BLOCK

A mental block happens when you feel like your brain has shut off. This is the ultimate sign of mental exhaustion and fatigue that has existed for a long period of time. When you experience a mental block, it means that your brain has reached its limit and it needs rest.

3. YOU EXPERIENCE PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS

Since your mind controls your body, when your mind is tired there will be also physical consequences. When you are mentally and emotionally tired, you may experience physical symptoms such as loss of appetite, headaches, insomnia, stomach aches, and lack of energy.

4. YOU TEND TO FORGET THINGS

When your brain is tired, you may experience a memory loss. You may find it hard to remember things that normally you’d always remember. You also have trouble focusing and solving simple problems due to your mental exhaustion.

5. YOU TAKE ON TOO MUCH AT ONCE

When you are mentally and emotionally tired, you are also overwhelmed. You tend to take on too much at once. When you find yourself constantly in a busy environment, every sensory input can cause you additional stress because sounds, sights, and smells can overwhelm you if you don’t take breaks.

The best way you can do to avoid mental and emotional fatigue is rest. You need downtime. You need to give your mind a chance to rest and recover.
