If you, my friend, had a bad day, then you’ve clicked on the right article.

I present to you, Quill, the cutest, most incredible kitten with round, bear ears and twisted paws that will instantly brighten your day.

Her story goes like this…

Quill is a kitten born with contracted ligaments and tendons in her front wrists causing her tiny legs to twist. Earlier this month, she has arrived at Friends for Life Rescue Network, a rescue group in Los Angeles hoping that she will finally find her forever home.

 And guess what? She did.

The minute Quill stepped foot into the shelter, Mel Lamprey and her husband Zane, foster volunteers of the rescue immediately fell in love with her and stepped up to help. The tiny kitten instantly connected with her new foster parents. Shortly after that, she finally started her physical therapy and got her precious, little name, Quill.

“Despite her small stature, she’s such a champ at her physical therapy. Her wrists are warmed up with a heating pad. They are then massaged and stretched to relax the tendons and ligaments in hopes of re-aligning the growing bones,” her foster parents explained in an interview.

The kitten has even started to receive weekly splints to improve her range of motion. And according to her foster parents, she’s kicking it. She is not afraid of the challenges thrown at her. She doesn’t even perceive herself as different.

Other than that, Quill loves her new foster family and she’s an expert at stealing their affection. “She’s silly, curious, sweet, and a foster daddy’s girl. She has him wrapped around her tiny fingers. Foster dad always swoops in like the hero after a (physical therapy) session and cuddles her” said, Mel.

This little cuddle bug’s favorite bed is indeed her father’s neck. And she can’t stand being apart from them. So much that after every meal she insists on getting her daily dose of cuddles right before she falls asleep in her parents’ arms.

What’s even cuter is that Mel and Zane’s older foster named Chester has also welcomed the new member with his open arms (paws). To everyone’s surprise, the ginger boy did everything to make this tiny, new member feel like a part of the family and nurse her back to health. Their instant bond brought big smiles on Mel and Zane’s faces and proved to them that they made the right decision.

“He walked right up and sat next to her like they were best friends,” Mel said.
