Sometimes It’s Making Room For Something Better

Have you ever wanted something so much that it literally became the reason for everything that you do, the purpose for your existence, the drive that moves you forward in life?

You know that feeling when you have your heart wrapped around something so tightly that you cannot think of anything else that you’d rather be doing?

That feeling of joy, that thrilling sensation that makes your heart pound so hard that it feels like it’s going to burst out of your chest. One word. Passion.

If you’re familiar with this and you’re already halfway through your journey, let me just say… WAY TO GO! You’re living your dreams, buddy!

But if you feel like you’re slowly losing interest in that massive thing that you once gave everything to achieve, worry not, dear friend. You probably expected something else, but here’s what… I am not here to destroy your hopes and ruin your life.

In fact, it’s not at all dark as it seems. Yes, things change, we change, the whole world changes. But so what? It’s not wrong to want to give up on something that once made you happy.

Quitting is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it means making room for better things. Here’s why:

1. Being your true self no matter where life takes you or faces you with is the most important thing that you can do for yourself. I know it’s scary to let go of such a big part of you, but sometimes taking that step is the best thing that you can do to carry on. There’s nothing wrong with abandoning a dream that no longer adds any real value to your life. Let to go of the past and step forward into the future. Don’t be afraid to go after everything that makes your heart smile, no matter the cost of it.

2. Nothing that happens to you is in vain. Every experience is a lesson of great value. Think about it this way. Yes, you may be giving up on a dream, but you’ve learned so much during the process that you’ve changed. For the better. You are now a different person. A stronger, braver, bolder and more determined human being. Not only have you proven to yourself that you can do everything that your heart truly desires, but you’ve also proven that there is nothing that can discourage you from going forward in life, no matter what you choose to do.

3. It’s okay if you still haven’t found yourself. Some people spend their whole lives looking for themselves. It’s a different journey for each and every one of us. But the only thing that makes all our journeys feel the same is that they require changes. They require getting out of your comfort zone. Facing obstacles. Putting up with unforeseen circumstances. Solving puzzles. Failing and finding the strength to get up all over again. But it’s okay. It’s all fine until you’re open to learning all of these lessons and accepting the changes as they come.

4. Eventually, every ending means a new beginning. Every closed door hides a new opportunity. A new chance to start over. To find who you truly are. To create something entirely from scratch. To witness a new path unraveling in front of you. And to experience everything that life has to offer. I know, beginnings are scary and unpredictable but it’s what happens after them that makes life worth living.

So, hold on. Giving up is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it’s an opportunity for something better.
