Sometimes life can throw awful things at the most innocent people. Sadly, the only thing that they can do in that kind of situation is to keep fighting. Without hope and the will to overcome hardship, these people may lose all their joy.
One such person is a 5-year-old girl named Leah. She suffers from severe congenital neutropenia – a rare genetic disorder which causes a deficiency of white blood cells in the bone marrow.
Although so many people would feel completely hopeless and weak after fighting such a terrible illness at such a young age, Leah doesn’t let it get the best of her.
After 2 bone marrow transplants, this little girl is still singing and dancing.
In a heartwarming video which was originally shared to Facebook, the 5-year-old can be seen dancing along to “Overcomer” by Christian singer Mandisa. As well as that, she even begins singing along to the song.
Leah has spent more than 10 months in the hospital, away from her own family. She’s been through transplants and treatments which no one her age should ever have to go through. Still, even after all of that, she keeps a smile on her face and her spirits high.
This little girl truly is an inspiration to us all. She’s shown us that even in the face of tragedy, we can still find joy in the world.
