Separations are tough. There’s no escaping that. You cannot make them painless.
And sometimes it’s for the better. You separate from a person who no longer adds value in your life in order to move on and find the happiness that you need on your own. But regardless of the fact that every door shuts for a reason, it still hurts. It is undoubtedly one of the most gut-wrenching and life-changing experiences in life.
What’s worse is not being honest about it. Hiding your emotions and pretending that you are fine when in reality, you really aren’t. Forcing yourself to love your partner when the love is no longer there. Trying to fix something that was already broken from the very start.
Now that hurts like hell.
Here are 4 signs that your partner might no longer have feelings for you:
1. They always have an excuse for not spending time with you. Whether they are out with their friends, busy at work, having dinner with their parents, out shopping or simply sleeping at home, they are always busy. There is no time in their agenda for you. If this is something that you’re going through, you need to know that it is a sign that your partner might no longer have the same feelings for you.
2. They constantly blame you for everything. You are the only person who is responsible for every problem in your relationship. In fact, don’t be surprised if one day they greet you with an “It’s not me, it is you”. This is a sign that your partner may be losing interest in you… A sign that you might want to rethink your decisions. A sign that you need to focus on yourself.
3. They don’t involve you in your future plans. What’s more to say? A person who plans their life on their own without taking their partner into consideration is a person who doesn’t really care about their relationship. It sounds brutal as hell, but it is the truth. If you are in a relationship with someone whose dreams don’t really align with yours, it might be time for you to move on…
4. They avoid conversation. Every time you have something to say, they interrupt your thoughts with trivial talks. It almost feels like they are too afraid to open up and tell you how they really feel. This can be a sign that they no longer want to be with you. Their words may not openly say it… But their silence is more than clear. And sometimes, silence is louder than anything.
