Louise Signore is a 107-year-old woman living in the Bronx, New York. She revealed that her secret to living a long life is never getting married.

Born in Harlem in 1912, Louise celebrated her milestone birthday throwing a party at the Bartow Community Center in Coop City. There were 100 guests attending the event.

In an interview for CBS, Louise revealed her top secrets to living a long life, such as eating Italian food, dancing, and playing bingo.

“I have to exercise,” she said, “I still do a little dancing. After my lunch, I play bingo.”

But, according to her, the main reason that has helped her live a long and happy life is choosing to remain single and never tying the knot.

“I think the secret of 107… I never got married,” she continued. “I think that’s the secret. My sister says, ‘I wish I never got married!’”.

As for her nutrition, coming from an Italian family, she said that her diet, namely consuming Italian food, has also helped her live longer.

“Italian food is very good for you,” she explained. “I was brought up with very good food. No soda, no cake.”

Apparently, she is right. A Mediterranean diet is rich in whole grains, vegetables, olive oil, and fish, while low in meat and dairy. It is a diet that is very popular in both Italy and Greece and it is said that it lowers the risk of heart disease, prevents depression, and reduces the mortality risk in elderly people.

What do you think? Do you agree with this charming single lady?
