Wherever you are and whoever you are, I look forward to meeting you. However, there are some things that you should know about me.
I am someone who doesn’t half-ass anything in life, love included. When I fall in love, I fall in deeply. I love hard. When I am with someone that person becomes a part of my world. When I love someone, I love only them – I am not keeping my options open.
So, it’s not going to be easy….
Because I am not an easy person to love. I am very guarded, and I don’t trust people easily. And it has nothing to do with you. It has to do with the people in the past who betrayed me and walked away. I know that I should not judge others based on past experiences, but pain changes you whether you like it or not.
It’s going to be really hard and we are going to have to work at it.
I want you to show me that you are honest. That you are worthy of my love. Because love requires equal effort from both partners. Being in love means cherishing and nourishing its source every single day. Working on the initial spark. Never take the other person for granted.
But I want to do that…
I want to love you the right way. I want our relationship to succeed. Yes, there would be times when we couldn’t stand each other, but that’s the course of love. Arguments are part of any healthy relationship, and love is a little bit like gambling, but I love to play, and I am there to win. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t toy with your emotions. I will fight for our relationship and I want you to be there by my side.
Because I want you. I want all of you.
I want us to have the relationship poets write poems about. I want us to have faith in each other and our relationship. I want us to be vulnerable with each other. I want us to drop our guards down and start trusting each other.
I will tell you about my past hurts and wounds and I want to hear all about your bruises and pains. I want to know what you fear, what keeps you up at night. I want to know all about you and I promise I’ll accept you as who you are.
And if you are willing to have patience with me and prove to me that you are not like others, I promise it’ll be worth it in the end. You are in for one hell of a ride.
I will be your biggest supporter, admirer, lover, best friend, confidant, and partner in crime. I can change your whole life for the better. I am that kind of a woman.
