Stop Giving Chances To People Who Don’t Deserve Them: You Are Hurting Yourself

Hey, you. Yes, you on the other side of this article.

Have you any idea how amazing you are?

Have you any clue how pure and beautiful your soul is?

Do you know how much love you carry in that vulnerable heart of yours?

Tons of love. Tons of light.

You, my friend, are a real gem. You are what people call “one of a kind”. You are someone who loves deeply and doesn’t give up without a fight. You are someone who has always believed in love. Someone who cannot imagine their life without love. You are someone who is honest and open with people. Someone who carries their heart on their sleeve. Someone who believes in the good in people. Someone who cares.

Yet, you act like you’ve forgotten your worth.

You chase after people who don’t appreciate the things you give them.

People who take you for granted. People who have hurt you and would still hurt you if they had the chance. People who cannot see you for who you are.

You give yourself to immature individuals who only use you for as long as they feel like it. And you constantly convince yourself that you can, in fact, fix them. That you change them from the core. That your love can motivate them to become better people.

But where is the change? I don’t see them reciprocating with their love. I don’t see them treating you the way you deserve. I don’t see them loving you the way you love them.

All I see is you giving out second chances to people who didn’t even deserve the first.

And for what? Do you really think that’s how much you deserve? Are these people really good enough for you? Does their behavior make you feel loved? Is this how you imagine your future?

You are not fighting for love. The more you chase these people, the more you are putting yourself in a very vulnerable position. The more you put yourself out there, the more they’re going to hurt you. I know it. I know it because I’ve met those types of people. And I’ve felt their wrath on my own skin.

So, I am sorry, but I can’t keep quiet. And I refuse to sit idly by while you destroy your entire life to pieces.

You deserve love in its purest form. You deserve to be respected, cherished, appreciated, loved, understood. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to live a life you are excited about. A life that will make you wake up with a smile on your face, every single day.

So, stop what you are doing. Stop giving chances to people who take you for granted. You are hurting yourself. You may not be able to see it right now, because you are blinded by your obsession with them,  but that’s the truth. One step forward and you’ll end up knee-deep in hell.

You don’t want to live that life, my dear. You don’t want to spend an eternity with a person who treats you like trash…

So, stop. Stop allowing toxicity in your life. Stop settling for less.

You are worthy of all the love in the world. Don’t stop until you find it.
