Animals have feelings, just as humans do. And most of the time they express their feelings just like humans do.
Animals have their own way to express thankfulness and gratitude towards people who take care of them and love them as a part of their family.
The Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs
Animals are very smart and they can distinguish between people who like them and people who want to hurt them and so they behave accordingly.
Abigail is a kangaroo from Australia and she is an example of how animals can appreciate the good deed someone does for them.

Abigail lost her mom when she was 5 months old and kind volunteers welcomed her to the Kangaroo Sanctuary Alice Springs. Immediately after they saved her, Abigail started opening her arms and hugging them.
And even though this happened more than 10 years ago, Abigail still gives great hugs to the volunteers as the first day they saved her. Her hugs are warm and sincere and everyone loves Abigail.
She doesn’t let anyone start their day without getting a hug from her!
Isn’t she wonderful?
