This McDonald’s Math Puzzle Is Dividing The Internet – Can You Get The Correct Answer?

Who doesn’t like puzzles? They offer a little challenge, they create a little mess, and they always open up discussions about different possibilities. However, in the end, there’s only one solution.

The McDonald’s puzzle is one for fast food fans – and then, even if you don’t like fast food, you’ll love this challenge which has literally divided the Internet in the quest to solving it.

It may look really simple, but a keen eye and some logic are needed if you want to get the correct answer because it has been deliberately designed to confuse you.

Can you get the correct answer? (Hint: it’s not obesity)

Take a close look and do your math.

To get the right result, you need to apply the rule of BODMAS, which says that multiplying is worked out before division.

B – Brackets first

O – Orders (that is Powers and Square Roots, etc)

DM – Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)

AS – Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)

Some of those who tried to get the right answer noticed that while the third line shows 4 portions of fries, the fourth line has only 1 portion which is multiplied by the milkshake.

STOP HERE AND RESOLVE THE PUZZLE

THE ANSWER

So, to get the right answer here’s what you need to do:

10+10+10=30
10+5+5=20
5+(1+1)+(1+1)=9
5+1×10=15

THIS MAKES 15 THE CORRECT ANSWER
