How To Conquer Your Fears And Turn Them Into Strengths

Fears can be excruciating and overpowering. It can numb you to the point of stopping you from living your life to your true potential and doing things that you want to do. Fear can lessen your happiness because it robs you from experiencing fun and exciting things.

Here are 5 things you can do to overcome your fears once and for all.

1. NOURISH YOUR MIND AND BODY

If you don’t take a good care of your mind and body you will always be unhealthy and fearful. Nourish your mind by reading good books and learning new things. Nourish your body with eating healthy food, drinking a lot of water, and exercise regularly to let go of your fears and your anxieties. Because you cannot conquer your fears if you don’t take care of yourself.

2. CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Take on a big challenge, one that you are not afraid of doing but it is a major one for you. Running a marathon, writing a book, learning to knit… the list is endless. Start doing big things that you are not afraid of and you’ll start believing in yourself more. You will feel more confident because you will prove to yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to.

3. MEDITATE ON YOUR FEARS

Meditating doesn’t always mean closing your eyes while sitting still in a quiet place. Meditation can also happen while you are walking alone in nature and really feeling everything around you – the fresh air, the ground you walk on, the smell of the trees and flowers… and so on. This can help you release your fears and inhibitions and let go of things that hold you back.

4. SAY POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS

Tell yourself how smart, strong, and resilient you are. Speak positive words of encouragement to yourself out loud and you will start believing them. They will engrave in your consciousness and before you know it, you will be living those words.

5. START MAKING CHANGES IN YOUR LIFE

These changes can be small like making your bed in the morning or vacuuming every second day to big ones like signing up for a class or a program that you always wanted to take. Either way, by pushing yourself to do new things and change your routine, you can prove to yourself that you can do anything you want or fear doesn’t have a place in your life.
