“Train people well enough so they can leave. Treat them well enough so they don’t want to.” -Richard Branson
Successful employers, for instance Amazon, train their employees for jobs that are not at all related to their company (in our example Amazon). They train their employees and associates on their career and life they need to be successful at their job and in life. They do it because they are aware of what they are employees are looking for and that is constant growth and development.
People often wonder whether it is better to work for a big or a small company, or whether start-ups are a good idea or they should aim only for multinational companies.
Well, in my personal opinion, when it comes to choosing the job of your dreams, you shouldn’t bother with the size of the company. Rather, you should only consider whether the company is truly committed to its people. Whether the company does invest in its employees or is just treating them like working force.
Don’t choose the company you work in – choose your boss instead. A boss that will trust you, believe in you, support you, and offer you many opportunities for growth and development is someone who will change your life for the better and elevate your career on a higher level.
