I may not know a lot of things in life, but LOVE, oh that thing I know.
I’ve been through many hardships to finally learn the real meaning of love.
And if there’s one thing that I can say for sure is this…
Love isn’t supposed to hurt, my friends. It isn’t supposed to be difficult.
So, here’s what bothers the hell out of me. You people say that you agree with this, but then again you also settle for relationships and people who make your life living hell. On top of it, you justify their actions claiming that they do it out of love.
You keep convincing yourself that love is all about making sacrifices and working hard to keep the relationship going, but that is not the truth, and deep inside, you know it. You are just too afraid to admit it. Because that would mean walking away from everything familiar to you. That would mean facing the unknown.
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your definition of love is all wrong.
A person who truly, genuinely loves you from the bottom of their heart, will never ever force you to go through hell to be with them. Someone who really cares about you will never bring you so much pain. They will never be the reason for your tears.
Simple as that.
The right person will never make you suffer. They will never make you think that love is supposed to be hard. They will never do anything to intentionally hurt you. They will never make you doubt yourself. They will never blame you for the things that you are going through.
No, they will never walk away when you need them the most.
This person will prove to you that heaven is indeed a place on earth. They will be the warmest ray of sunshine on a cold morning. They will lift you up and help you spread your wings. They will have your back. They will support you. They will let you know that love is the purest thing in the universe and that you shouldn’t work hard to make it flow.
The right person will love seeing you smile. They will have all the time in the world to be there for you and love you. They will look at you with a fire in their eyes. They will love you so deeply that no words will ever be enough to describe how they feel.
The desire inside their souls to make you the happiest person alive will burn brighter than anything you’ve seen. The warmth of their embrace will be the shelter that you’ve searched for all of your life. The love they carry inside their hearts will give you the strength to move mountains.
The right person will never ever make you think that love is supposed to be hard. On the contrary, they will do everything in their power to let you know that being happy is the easiest thing when you are with someone who genuinely cares about you.
Anything less than this is simply not worth it. So, please stop.
Stop lying to yourself that the man who puts you through misery loves you. Stop convincing yourself that you have to work hard to keep the relationship going. Stop thinking that your love is enough to keep your connection alive. Stop living in your delusional world. Stop giving yourself to people who are not doing the same for you. Stop wasting your love and tears on relationships that hurt you.
