A Mentally Strong Woman Doesn’t Base Her Worth On What Others Think Of Her

SHARE

A mentally strong woman does things differently. She doesn’t downgrade herself, she doesn’t compare herself to others, and she doesn’t downplay her success. She has different core beliefs because of her mental strength.

1. SHE KNOWS HER STRENGTH IS OFTEN VIEWED AS WEAKNESS

There are people who think that qualities like emotion, kindness, or vulnerability are not important, especially in the workplace. They see these qualities as showing weakness. But, not the strong woman. She knows that these qualities are what make her mentally strong and whole as a person.

2. SHE KNOWS HER SELF-WORTH ISN’T DETERMINED BY WHAT OTHERS THINK OF HER

It is very easy to allow criticism or rejection to make you feel like you are not good enough. However, a mentally strong woman knows her worth. Her worth isn’t determined by what other people think of her. She is her own person, with her own beliefs and she doesn’t allow anyone to tell her how she should feel about herself.

3. SHE KNOWS SOCIETY ENCOURAGES WOMEN TO ‘FIT IN’ AND ENGAGE IN UNHEALTHY HABITS

Society constantly pressures women to be a certain way – pretty, kind, and quiet. It tells them that is wrong to speak up and have a voice. However, a strong woman doesn’t fall for those misogynistic “gender rules”. A strong woman lives her life the way she sees fit. She isn’t influenced by what society thinks it is right.

4. SHE KNOWS SHE DOESN’T NEED TO SHRINK HERSELF FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO FEEL COMFORTABLE

There are women who are ready to shrink themselves because they think that their success and strength will be perceived as too much and a threat.  But, a mentally strong woman is proud of her success and achievements because she knows how hard she has worked for them.

5. SHE KNOWS HER MENTAL MUSCLES NEED TO BE EXERCISED REGULARLY

A mentally strong woman understands that she must exercise her strength regularly. Like physical muscles need constant exercise to stay strong, the same is true for mental strength. She practices mental strength because she knows that’s the only way she can reach her full potential.

6. SHE KNOWS SHE CAN’T ALWAYS SEE HER INNER STRENGTH

You may think that the woman who works out at the gym is mentally strong, but in reality, she may be self-conscious about her image. On the other hand, the woman who pulls herself out of bed every day in spite of her desire to hide from the world possesses a lot of mental strength to do so. This is what mentally strong women know. They never judge others. Instead, they work on making themselves better and make others around them better.
