I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news on such a lovely day…
But here’s the deal.
I’m sick and tired of listening to people regretting their decisions to marry a high school sweetheart with whom they had a relationship for 10 years. I am sick and tired of people being pressured to get married. I am sick and tired of society forcing us to believe that finding love is the only thing that really matters in life.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not anti-love. I am not some desperate, miserable woman who got her heart broken, hopes shattered and no longer believes in a happily ever after.
I am a realist.
So, here it is.
Life isn’t only about finding your “soulmate”, getting married, having kids and dying.
There is more to it than just that. There is more to our entire existence than simply living according to society’s standards. I really hope that deep down you know and understand this.
If not… Then I really hope that my words somehow find a way to your heart.

Go out! Break your boundaries. Leave your pretty, little comfort zone. Let your self do whatever your heart desires. Flow in whichever direction you feel like. Expand your horizons. Chase your dreams. Open your heart. Find the courage to fly high. Dare to go even higher. Release yourself from all of your fears and insecurities. Stop letting other people bring you down.
Chase your happiness. Chase your dream career. Chase new friendships. Chase adventures. Chase experiences. Chase originality. Chase individuality. Chase change. Chase beautiful moments. Chase your purpose in life. Chase your goals.
Go after things and feelings that make you feel like yourself. Go after everything that makes you feel alive. Everything that makes you feel things that you’ve never ever felt before.
For that is and will always be the true essence of life.

Life is not about simply existing and pretending that you’re going in the direction of your dreams while you are feeling pressured to do something completely different.
