I Know It Hurts That He’s Gone, But You’re Strong Enough To Get Through This

SHARE

Love is a force that can take you over completely and cause you to yearn deeply for just one person. When we lose that person, our hearts can shatter into pieces that we aren’t sure if we’ll ever be able to put back together.

It’s killing you inside, I understand, but it won’t hurt forever. Trust me when I say that with time, you are going to be okay. I know it hurts that he’s gone, but you’re strong enough to get through this.

Isn’t Wasn’t Just You’re Love For Him

The day it all ended, you lost so much. It wasn’t just his love that you lost, but everything that came with being with him too. You lost the way he looked into your eyes when he told you he loved you and the way that he’d hold you close when he kissed you.

Most of all, you lost the way that he made you feel and the way he made you feel about yourself. Having to let go of being with someone you cared for so much is enough to break the heart of even the strongest person. It’s not just sadness and loneliness, but grief too. That is a pain that could shatter your very existence and rob you of your happiness.

It’s Not Going To Last For Every

Truthfully, the pain that you feel is going to last quite a while, but it won’t be forever. Slowly but surely, the hurt and grief will begin to ease off and give way to new, happier emotions. You’ll slowly be able to let go of him and begin to heal.

You will move on.

You will be able to learn to be happy within your own self again. As well as that, one day you’re going to be open to love again. A new love will find you when you are ready for it. It will push away all the sadness you feel and replace it with warmth and hope.

It Wasn’t A Mistake, Just A Lesson

It’s easy to feel that any love lost was a huge mistake. We can believe that we would have never gotten involved with the other person if we had known how badly it would hurt us. The truth is though, everyone enters our lives for a reason. As the saying goes “everyone you meet is either a blessing or a lesson.”

You may miss the way he smiled at you, but it taught you how to appreciate someone else’s joy. You may miss the way it felt when he held you, but it taught you that you can feel safe in someone’s arms.

Most of all, you may miss hearing him say “I love you,” but it taught you how to love and be loved. That doesn’t seem like a mistake to me.

“This is not a goodbye, my darling, this is a thank you. Thank you for coming into my life and giving me joy, thank you for loving me and receiving my love in return. Thank you for the memories I will cherish forever. But most of all, thank you for showing me that there will come a time when I can eventually let you go.”

― Nicholas Sparks

I know that this may seem like the worst pain that you’ll ever experience, but I know that you are going to be okay. He may not be a part of your life anymore, but he will forever be in your memories. Now you can move on and learn to live without him. One day, it won’t hurt anymore.
