9 Things Self-Respecting People With High Integrity Would Never Tolerate

We live in desperate times. Times who have been proven to be detrimental and dangerous to our basic human rights.

The world we exist in is governed by money-grabbing and soul-sucking leeches. The sad truth is – people only care about profit and pleasure. No one gives a damn about you and what you need.

So, if you ask me, this is not the time to kneel and join the oppression. But instead, these times call for real bravery, boldness, honesty and above all, absolute transparency.

No one should agree with anything that directly or indirectly threatens them or causes injury to their own rights. No one should accept anything less than they deserve.

If you truly respect and love your own being, you’d never ever tolerate:

1. PEOPLE PLEASING

Don’t waste your energy satisfying everyone’s needs. People will never know when to stop. They will never say “I’ve had enough”. They will grab as long as they can.

So, at the end of the day, it is essential to do what makes you happy and follow your instincts.

2. BEING STAGNANT

You know what they say… “A ship in harbor is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for”.

You cannot possibly expect to move forward if you don’t do anything about it. Sitting and waiting for things to fall off the sky without earning them is a waste of time. A dream only works if you do.

3. MAINTAINING A NEGATIVE, PESSIMISTIC VIEW OF YOURSELF

I’m not saying that you should avoid dealing with the troubles and put on a silly grin while pretending that everything is fine. Instead, I’m saying that you should focus on finding the optimal solution rather than whining.

Learn to respect yourself. Accept the flaws. Develop a positive, more constructive relationship with yourself. You are all you’ve got.

4. TRYING TO FIT IN

Self-respecting individuals with high integrity don’t follow the crowd. They’re creative rebels who perceive this world from multicolored lenses. They think outside of the box.

Don’t settle for mediocracy. Don’t be afraid to abandon your flock and open your wings to the opportunities ahead of you.

5. WORKING SOMETHING YOU HATE

Sadly, most of us already do this. But, if you have any respect for yourself, you’d know that no amount of money could ever buy you your freedom. Work is work. And sometimes even the most creative activity can become dull and boring, but there’s a huge difference between doing the things that fill your soul with passion and doing something just to pay your bills. Respect yourself.

6. NEGLECTING YOUR HEALTH

This one is a given. No self-respecting person who takes care of their own well-being would ever neglect their health. They would do anything in their power to identify the cause of it and then find a suitable solution.

I believe it is called self-care. The most important thing you can do for yourself. Ring any bells?

7. SETTLING FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN HAPPINESS

I know a lot of people who were miserable enough to settle for less than what they actually wanted. And, I’m truly sorry for those people. Especially because I was always there to help them get up and fight the obstacles when they felt hopeless.

Don’t be just another person who easily loses hope and settles for something average. Have respect for yourself and don’t stop until you find happiness.

8. BEING LAZY

Don’t let your comfort zone smother you into oblivion. Procrastination is the biggest enemy of the 21st century. We now have tablets, smartphones, and other unnecessary gadgets that seem to work wonders when it comes to losing your motivation.

9. ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS

No self-respecting person with dignity and high integrity would ever tolerate a manipulative partner. And no one should, for that matter.

Wasting your precious energy and time on fixing dysfunctional relationships and trying to change an abusive partner is useless. You deserve to be surrounded with people who are good for you, people who motivate you to be yourself and only move forward.

Don’t let others define your path. Don’t let them control your life.
