8 Uncomfortable Signs You’re Growing Up And Becoming The Person You Were Meant To Be

What is growing if not evolving?

We all aspire to reach a certain age when we can finally say that life tested us enough to finally make us learn the most important truths about our existence out there. We all want to be wiser, smarter, stronger, bigger.

But, evolvement cannot possibly happen without some certain significant changes. These transformations are not always pleasant, but it is important to know that what you’re experiencing is a perfectly normal reaction to changes.

You are slowing changing, transforming, shifting and becoming the person, you were meant to be.

Here are 8 uncomfortable signs that you’re evolving:

1. YOU LIKE TO FOCUS ON YOUR SELF-GROWTH, EVEN IF THAT MAKES YOU FEEL ISOLATED FROM OTHERS

The more mature you become, the more you can handle on your own. It feels like you can finally do everything on your own without asking someone for help. “You’ve got this!”. It’s not that you don’t want anyone around you. It’s because you finally know how to take care of yourself.

It might look like you’re isolating yourself from others, but all you do is actually working on yourself to become even stronger than you were before.

2. YOU ARE AWARE OF YOUR ISSUES

You know exactly what issues you’re dealing with. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, trust issues, repressed emotions, you are finally aware of what you have to focus on in order to overcome your problems and grow.

3. YOU ARE NOT AFRAID TO ERASE EVERY TOXIC RELATIONSHIP FROM YOUR LIFE

You know you’ve grown and matured when you are not afraid to free yourself from everything that doesn’t nurture your soul. You know you’re finally becoming the person you were meant to be when you’re finally ready to get rid of everything that sucks your energy and brings toxicity in your life.

You’d rather be alone and lonely than be surrounded by people who are not even worthy of attention.

4. AFTER EVERYTHING YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH, YOU FIND IT HARD TO TRUST PEOPLE

You’ve already been broken, you’ve already been stabbed in the back, so you pretty much know how it goes. Life is not fair. It’s not all flying unicorns and rainbows. People are two-timing, and they care only about themselves.

So, it is pretty hard to find a loyal and honest person. That is why the first one on your priority list is yourself. You need to see a real effort and honesty in a person in order to trust someone again.

5. YOU KNOW WHAT SADNESS IS

You’ve been through all of it. You’ve been broken, you’ve been hurt, you’ve been disappointed, and you’ve been mistreated. So, you know sadness. You know exactly how it feels like to be trapped in the deepest, darkest pits of your own hell.

But, what didn’t kill you, made you stronger and wiser to move on with your life. You learned your lessons and bounced back to reality like nothing ever happened.

6. YOU MISS YOUR CARELESS CHILDHOOD

Even though you’re evolving and becoming the person, you’ve always aspired to be, you still miss those careless childhood memories. You’re finally on your own feet and you’re living life by your own rules.

But, there’s a part of your life you’ll always look back on and remember as the most beautiful years of your existence.

7. YOU REGRET SOME OF THE MISTAKES YOU’VE MADE

Yes, you regret some of the mistakes that you’ve made. But even though you understand that there’s no escaping from the past and the bad decisions that changed your life, you realize that regret will take you nowhere.

Regret won’t help you overcome them. It will torture you.

That is why, as a grown and evolved human being you’ve come to a conclusion that the only thing you can do to move forward is to forgive yourself and try not to make the same mistakes twice.

8. EVEN THOUGH YOU’RE WORKING ON YOURSELF, YOU SOMEHOW STILL FEEL LOST AND UNCERTAIN ABOUT YOUR FUTURE

Your powerful exterior might radiate with a strong attitude and bold personality, but what’s inside of you is much more fragile then you would like to admit. You know exactly where you are, but you’re not quite sure where you want to be in life. So, you feel lost. You think that everyone around got it all figured out, but the truth is… we’re all a bit lost.

We’re all calculating our risks, planning our future, questioning our choices. We’re all confused here. But, the thing that keeps us going is our determination to reach the highest of highs.
