8 Things Successful And Clever People Do A Lot Differently

SHARE

We’re constantly surrounded by news about our most favorite celebrities, greatest intellectuals, innovators, brilliant masterminds, artists and their perfect, fairytale lives. We get to take a peek into their successful careers, admire them and look up to them.

Just 2 days ago I got to see Ozzy Osbourne on his last tour ever. The guy is 70 years old and still touring. And by the way, he still kicks ass. My point is, achieving success and living the good life isn’t something that happens overnight.

Most of the megastars and geniuses we admire and idolize struggled really hard to get where they are right now. Not all of them were born into success. Some of them started from zero and worked their assess off to achieve their dreams.

Successful people have a different scheme than the rest of us.  So, here are 8 fundamental things they do on their journey to greatness:

1. THEY TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION

It’s very sad how some people never take advantage of their full potential. They are caught in an endless loop of the well-known comfort zone that they forget to focus on mastering their skills and pushing their limits to the maximum.

The thing is… they never take action. They are either too afraid of the following changes or incredibly lazy to even give a damn about something else than comfort.

Possessing a sharp mind and great knowledge won’t do you good if you don’t take action. Self-growth begins once you realize that the things you know can truly change your life.

Being intelligent is useless without taking some action. Simple as that.

2. THEY FOCUS ON CREATING NOT BEING BUSY

If you are constantly on the go, and you keep running and running around a circle and you call that being productive, I have bad news for you.

Being 24/7 busy doesn’t make you productive. It is essential to learn the art of working smarter, not harder.

We constantly compete with time, thinking that the busier we are, the worthier we become. But, in reality, it is all an illusion. We’re nothing but lab rats on a never-ending wheel.

Set your priorities straight. Breathe, reboot and then start all over again.

3. THEY TEND TO MAKE LOGICAL AND WISE DECISIONS

One of their most exceptional habits is their rational reasoning. It’s not that people who’ve reached success and achieved their goals denied their emotions to get there.

They just know that when it comes to extremely important, life-changing decisions, emotions can do much more damage than benefit.

4. THEY AVOID THE NEED TO MAKE EVERYTHING PERFECT

You have to admit, we are all perfectionists in some way. We tend to set the expectation bar very high and then end up disappointed whenever failure strikes us.

Now, the thing is, great determination and dedication are really necessary for achieving better results. But, once we get carried away with perfectionism, and all of a sudden, we are too afraid to face a possible failure we instantly trap ourselves.

Remember: nothing will ever be 100% perfect. Focus on working efficiently and effectively. It’s all that matters.

5. THEY GET OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE AND PUSH THEIR LIMITS

Comfort zones are nice, practical and peaceful. But, remember, nothing can ever be created while you are in there. You have to be able to embrace the fear of failing, accept the fact that you are now out of those familiar 4 walls you’ve made for yourself, and the only person you can count on is YOU.

The only way to reach greatness and achieve your wildest dreams is through suffering and struggling. That is also the only way to grow, both emotionally and intellectually.

6. THEY STICK TO SIMPLICITY

Humanity is overflown with choices. And while it is certainly comforting to know that you can choose from a huge variety of products, ideas, opinion, it seems that the more we have to choose from, the more complicated our lives are. And the more confusion we experience, the more we hesitate to take action.

Simplicity is the key.

7. THEY FOCUS ON MAKING SMALL, BUT CONTINUOUS STEPS

It doesn’t matter if you take small, baby steps towards your goals if you just keep on moving. Because this way you are making a change. You might be a slow walker, but you decided that you are not going to give up. And that is something truly worthy of admiring and praising.

8. THEY TRACK THEIR PROGRESS

The first step is to take action towards your desired destination. But, once you do that initial step, there are no cutbacks, no shortcuts, no rest.

Successful people know that starting something is difficult, but the real challenge comes afterward. The real obstacles follow after that initial step.

It is essential to identify your goals, understand what’s the most efficient way to keep moving forward and growing and then tracking the progress that you’ve made.
