8 Things Every Empath Experiences Daily That Others Don’t Realize

Empaths feel and absorb other people’s emotions or their physical pain as their own because of their high sensitivity. They are the ones that make the world a better place with their kind hearts and beautiful souls. They radiate with love, kindness, understanding, and empathy.

As an empath myself, I know all the challenges and struggles that highly sensitive people like me face almost daily. And even though it gets hard and overwhelming at times, it doesn’t mean that we cannot overcome them.

We, as empaths, are strong, capable, and amazing. We can face everything that life throws our way because we are gifted with sensitivity. And sensitivity is a powerful thing if you use it to your advantage.

So, here are the 8 things that you experience almost daily if you are an empath.

1.YOU FEEL THE NEED TO REMOVE YOURSELF

You have a constant need to remove yourself from people and situations you are in. This is because being an emotional sponge can be overwhelming and as time goes on the things will build up and you’ll feel like you can’t continue without getting them out from your mind and soul. That’s when you need to remove yourself from everything and relax.

2. YOU ARE EMOTIONALLY EXHAUSTED, AND YOU NEED TO PUSH THROUGH IT

You feel tired almost every day because you have too much taken out of you. Other people are always asking for your advice and they go to you with their problems because your empathetic heart can understand and help everyone. And sometimes it can be really hard to push through all of that. Please, take all the time you need to decompress because you deserve a time for yourself.

3. YOU LET YOUR HEART GET THE BEST OF YOU

We, empaths, are guilty of always following our heart. I don’t say that is a bad thing, but you shouldn’t always make the decisions based on your heart’s desires. The heart wants what it wants, but you are your own person. You should know that just because your heart pushes you toward something, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a good idea. You must decide what’s the best for you.

4. YOUR INTUITION SPEAKS TO YOU

You know the feeling when you are doing something and out of the blue, your gut feeling starts screaming at you to do something else or stop whatever it is you are doing. Your intuition is a powerful tool and you should listen to it. As an empath, your intuition is higher than others and even though sometimes it can be too much to handle, you should be thankful for this gift.

5. YOU BATTLE WITH YOURSELF TO TELL PEOPLE ‘NO’

Your kind and empathetic heart makes it really difficult for you to say ‘no’ to people. That’s why there is always a silent battle happening inside you. You don’t have to do that to yourself. If you don’t want to do something, simply say ‘no’. It is empowering, and you’ll instantly feel better because there is no point in draining your precious energy on things that you find unnecessary and meaningless.

6. YOU ARE A TARGET FOR ENERGY VAMPIRES

Empaths are easy targets for energy vampires every time due to their giving nature. Empaths are naturally born givers, so they are excellent prey for the energy sucking people. As an empath, you need to be able to spot these energy vampires and remove yourself from them.

7. YOU USE NATURE AS A MEANS OF DECOMPRESSING

You have an innate need to decompress and find your solace in nature. This is something which as an empath helps you a lot. You can always find your peace and quiet your busy mind and heart when you are in nature.

8. YOU HAVE A HUGE HEART AND YOU GIVE TOO MUCH

As an empath, you have a big heart and when you see that someone is in pain and suffering, you are immediately trying to help them and alleviate their pain. Whether it is a distraught friend, a sad child, or a homeless person – you are always there to reach out to them and ease their pain. However, be careful to not drain yourself too much in this process because you might end up feeling upset at the end of the day.
