8 Signs You Have A Toxic Person In Your Life And You Must Remove Yourself From Them ASAP

The sad truth is that the most damaging and toxic people that you’ll ever have in your life will be disguised as your friend, lover, or even a family member. What’s sadder is the fact that any kind of toxic relationship can ruin your life.

You’ll make yourself sick because any person who remains in a stressful and toxic situation for too long will jeopardize their well-being and the sanity of their mind.

Here are 8 signs that someone around you is toxic and you need to remove yourself from their presence as soon as possible.

1. THEY ALWAYS PLAY THE VICTIM

Regardless of the situation, they are always right. Anything that happens, any problem that may arise is always due to someone else’s irresponsible actions. Even if it is clear that it is their fault, they’ll never admit it.

When they are running late for work, it is because of the traffic. When they break up with someone, it is their partner’s jealousy. And so on. If there is a person like this in your life who always plays the victim – lose them for your own good.

2. THEY BOOST THEIR OWN EGO FOR ATTENTION

They always need to be the center of attention. They present a perfect picture of themselves in the world. When they talk about themselves, they always talk with loud exaggeration and pride. But, an exceptional person doesn’t need to boast and tell everyone they are special.

A toxic person, on the other hand, is more than happy to talk about themselves, how amazing they are, and what they’ve achieved without being asked in the first place. So, if you are dealing with someone who can’t stop talking about themselves, bear in mind that they may not be a good person.

3. THEY ALWAYS INTERRUPT

Toxic people are so egotistical and obsessed with themselves that they seem to lack manners when it comes to holding a proper conversation with someone else. They are constantly interrupting other people when they talk which is extremely rude and annoying.

A decent human being would apologize before they decide to interrupt anyone, but a toxic person will never apologize. Their crude behavior is over the line.

4. THEY ARE JUDGMENTAL

Being judgmental is one of the worst characteristics that a person can have which immediately shows they are a bad person. A person who says nasty things about other people and is rude to someone they barely know – can’t be a good person.

This is a major red flag, and if you have a person in your life that is judgmental, know that they are toxic, and you don’t need them around you because they’ll poison your life and suck your positive energy.

5. THEY NEVER ADMIT WHEN THEY MAKE A MISTAKE

In their mind, they are never wrong. A toxic person thinks that nothing is wrong with them, they are always right, and they never make mistakes. That’s why you would never hear a toxic person say they are sorry or admit they’ve made a mistake.

Even more so, they’ll make you feel guilty for their actions. Why would you want to be around a person like this?

6. THEY HAVE ZERO COMPASSION

Empathy and compassion are two genuine human traits that every good and decent human being possesses which distinguish them from the animal kingdom.

However, a toxic person lacks compassion. They are not able to empathize or being compassionate towards other people. If they happen to show compassion, it is usually fake, and they only do it so that they can get something out of you or the situation.

7. THEY ARE DISRESPECTFUL OF EVERYONE

It is safe to say that toxic people lack manners. They are disrespectful of anyone. They cut off people in traffic. They don’t say ‘thank you’ or ‘I am sorry’ and so on.

Their behavior is so rude, aggressive, and disturbing that you can’t do anything but ask yourself how can anyone live with themselves and not be ashamed, and finally, what type of parents raised them.

8. THEY ARE PHYSICALLY OR EMOTIONALLY ABUSIVE

This is a self-explaining one. A person who is abusive towards other people in any kind of way can’t be a good person. They are toxic, and you need to stay away from them if you want to keep your sanity and your health intact.
