Who Runs The World? Introverts! 8 Reasons Why You Should Be Proud You’re One Of Them

Have you ever been told you’re too sensitive, shy, anti-social, or simply too boring to be around?

If the answer is yes, chances are you’re a part of the coolest gang ever: The introverts.

Welcome to the club. I’m also an introvert.

My whole life I’ve been labeled as an anti-social person, the girl who’s always quiet, the one who hides behind her books and tablets and the girl who needs to try to be friendlier.

Well, I’ve had it.

It seems as though we’re constantly marked as the outcasts of society as if there was something wrong with us. We are told to not be ashamed of speaking, to be more social, and what’s even more tragic we’re often told that we should be treated for being who we are.

Extroverts, on the other hand, are constantly admired for having natural charisma, powerful attitude, and killer confidence.

So, introverts all over the world, let’s team up and show everyone why it’s such a blessing to possess an introverted soul:

1. WE’RE GREAT LISTENERS

A person who doesn’t have any knowledge about what introverts are might say that we are too self-absorbed and concerned with our own issues. And they’d be instantly wrong.

Because, introverts are the greatest listeners. We’re going to pay attention to what you have to say and do our best to help you.

2. WE’RE NATURAL EMPATHS

We don’t share much with others, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t considerate of people’s feelings. As introverts, we’re sensitive to all of the external stimuli around. And that, on the other hand, give us the opportunity to deeply connect with human beings.

We sense your emotions and understand how do they make you feel.

3. WE ARE DEEP THINKERS

In case you didn’t know, we have a more complex brain with longer neutral pathways that help us easily and quickly process things. That basically means that we have the power to dive deep into the realm of our emotions, thoughts, and experiences.

Everything that touches us in a certain way makes use experience the world in a much more powerful way than the rest of the people.

4.WE’RE MORE SENSITIVE TO DOPAMINE, THE HAPPY CHEMICAL

Have you heard of the saying “Less is more”? Well, that’s our motto in life. We don’t need much to get that happy hormone going. Introverts are actually hedonists in disguise.

We love to dive into the world of our senses. Whether it’s a powerful song, a nice book, a stimulating conversation or intensive mind-wandering, we don’t need plenty to be happy.

We know that the happiness everyone desperately seeks is within all of us.

5. WE CHERISH OUR ALONE TIME

I believe you already know this fact. When we say we need to go home, isolate from the world and just soak in the silence and tranquility of our room, it means that we need to recharge.

It is our own way of getting in touch with ourselves.

6.WE’RE PROBLEM SOLVERS

It’s a well-known fact that introverts enjoy their alone time, therefore they gravitate toward working alone. You might think we’re idly staring into our computers, quietly sitting at our desks, but inside our minds, there’s a furious brainstorm.

And when you think about it, it all makes sense. When we’re surrounded by people, our brain is forced to multitask. But, when we’re alone, that’s when our mind is clear, and we can finally focus on our thoughts.

7. WE’RE INDEPENDENT

It’s true. We don’t need others to be creative, fulfilled, peaceful or even happy. We can do all of it and more on our own. The people we choose to hang out with are people who are very close to us.

8. WE CARE ABOUT OUT INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS

We’re very picky when it comes to people. You could say we only have two or three best friends, genuine soulmates to whom we can confide in. Our bonds mean the world to us. That is why we constantly invest in the quality of our relationships. Real intimacy is what makes one relationship perfect.
