Have you met someone who at first sight seemed so nice, genuine, kind, and funny that you wanted to have them as your friend? And when that friendship started to develop, you began feeling strange, like something is off.
That “nice” person began to fill you up with negativity and self-doubts. It seems that they were only hiding their true nature behind a “nice” mask.
It is very common nowadays to meet someone like this. You must be careful because these people often have negative intention toward you. Here are 7 telltale signs that you have a person like this in your life.
1. YOU ALWAYS FEEL BAD AFTER TALKING TO THEM
You feel strange and bad whenever you speak to them. This is your intuition telling you that they are toxic to you. When you are among positive and nice people you feel good and positive after spending time with them. When you are dealing with a person who seems nice but has negative intentions, you will be left with bad and negative feelings.
2. THEY CAN PERSUADE YOU INTO DOING ANYTHING
Someone who is only hiding behind a mask of a nice person but has bad intentions can persuade you into doing anything they want. They can wittingly convince you to do something you don’t want to do only to get what they want. They are masters of manipulating people for their own purposes.
3. THEY ARE CONSTANTLY MAKING DEMANDS
You can recognize that you are dealing with a wolf in sheep’s clothing by their demanding nature. They are prone to constantly making demands because they feel entitled and superior to others. They view other people only as a means to satisfy their agenda. Don’t give them that satisfaction.
4. THEY TAKE PLEASURE IN OTHER PEOPLE’S MISFORTUNE
There is a happy expression on their face every time something bad happens to others. By laughing at the misfortunes of other people they feed their ego (and reveal their true colors).
5. THEIR CONVERSATIONS ARE ALWAYS ONE-SIDED
People who seem nice but have bad intentions at heart always want to be at the center of attention. They are dominant, and when it comes to conversations – they are always about them! They don’t let other people have a word in a conversation and everything always revolves around them.
6. THEY USE HUMOR AS A MEANS TO INSULT YOU
They will say something insulting to you, and they will always add “just kidding” at the end. This is their mean of using humor to bring you down and remain superior to you, especially when you are with a bunch of people. They do this to make you look bad in front of others.
7. THEY SHOW ABNORMAL EYE CONTACT AND BODY LANGUAGE
Manipulators know how to make you trust them by using eye contact and body language. However, you can spot a manipulator if you look closely at them. When the eye-contact seems forced and unnatural this is a sign that the person in front of you has a hidden agenda.
