11 Things All Women Who’ve Been Hurt Do Unknowingly

Heartbreaks and relationship crashes are extremely difficult and painful segments of every person’s life. They are inevitable parts of our lives. They shatter our hearts, destroy our hopes and beliefs.

They completely change our perspectives. They kill our expectations. If there was a time when we had the courage to open our heart to someone, now we’re totally isolated and far away from the real world.

It is sad, but it’s the cold hard truth.

As a result, we can’t help but behave differently. We start to cool off and we become heartless. At least, that’s what we want others to see. We want to appear insensitive and cold-blooded.

Because, the pain was great, and it touched every part of our body.

Here are 11 things people who have been hurt badly do unknowingly:

1. THEY START TO DOUBT EVERYTHING

There are no pink skies, endless rainbows, and shiny unicorns anymore. They once believed anything was possible, and they ended up betrayed.

The only thing their high expectations brought them was a disappointment.

2. THEY HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY

Even when they cross their paths with the perfect human being out there, they will still be suspicious about their nature.

They have lost their hopes and they chose the sarcastic, cynical side of life. At least, it’s an easy way to go through all the pain without showing it.

3. THEY HAVE ACCEPTED SADNESS AS A WAY OF LIFE

Unfortunately, no matter how much others encourage them to be positive and move forward, sadness is something that came into their lives and never left.

They’ve accepted it as a way of life.

4. THEY HAVE GIVEN UP ON ROMANCE

Every romantic movie that attempts to glorify love is no longer something they enjoy. In fact, they are disgusted by the unrealistic portrayal of love.

5. THEY GUARD THEIR SECRETS

The minute they got betrayed, everything they believed in was shattered to pieces. So, they figured that the best way to go through life is by keeping their secrets safe inside their hearts.

They learned that with great expectations comes great responsibility.

No one would be able to use anything against them if they just keep guarding their deepest desires/fears.

6. THEY ABANDON PEOPLE TO PREVENT ANY MORE PAIN

They were left alone in the dark. In the most desperate moments when all they needed was a shoulder to cry and someone who would listen.

As a result, their abandonment issues made them cruel and heartless. They figured it’s best to leave before someone leaves you. In order to prevent any more pain, they decided they were going to be the playmakers.

7. THEY DON’T BELIEVE IN LOVE

Suddenly the whole concept of “until death do us apart” is pointless. They have suffered through many toxic relationships to actually believe that people do stay together, forever.

8.THEY BECAME THE FLIRTATIOUS, CASUAL KIND

And after a lot of disappointments and heartbreaks, they realized that life will always be cruel. The best way to live it is by not taking anything seriously.

No more attempts. No more long-term relationships. No feelings. Just old-fashioned, superficial flirt.

9.THEY TEND TO EASILY JUMP BACK TO THEIR EXCES

In time, their general suspicion in real love turned them into people who text their exes and actually enjoy being hurt. They turned into masochistic individuals who don’t believe in anything pure but instead got used to pain and sorrow.

10.THEY DON’T BELIEVE IN HAPPILY EVER AFTER

The usual love story where a boy falls in love with a girl and cherishes her for years to come becomes just another science fiction movie. They don’t believe in those convenient, bed-time, fairytales anymore.

11.THEY MIGHT BE BROKEN, BUT THEY SECRETLY HOPE FOR THINGS TO GET BETTER

However, even though their hearts turned into stone and they have no energy left for believing in love, they still secretly hope there might be something or someone out there that is waiting for them.

Because, after all, as much they like to deny it, they are still humans who crave attention and unconditional love.

They just need time to heal their wounds.
