She loved him hard. She loved him more than life itself. And that was her biggest mistake.
She gave herself to him. Entirely. Body and soul. Mind and heart. Everything she ever had was his. Because she was a woman who believed in love. A woman who believed in the good in people. A human being who desperately wanted to feel loved.
But little did she know…he was not the man for her. He was not the brave knight that she had dreamed of her whole life. Nor was he the prince on a white horse whose kiss was supposed to bring her back to life. He was none of those things.
In fact, he changed her life. But he did it in the worst way possible.
He told her that he loves her. He convinced her that he cannot live his life without her by his side. He told her that she is the best thing that had ever happened to him. He manipulated into believing him and then when she least expected it, he robbed her of her dreams. He broke her heart and crushed her spirit. He took her love and tossed it like it was trash. And then he left. He left in the blink of an eye, leaving her wounded and all alone. He left without a word.
However, even though her painful scars will always be there to remind her of that horrible time, she will survive. She may be broken now, but one day she will love again.
I can see the hope in her eyes. She is exhausted from the pain, but she is not ready to give up on love. Because no matter how hard life is on her, deep down she believes that there is someone out there waiting for her.
It’s going to take her many sleepless nights, many painful tears, and a lot of time to process what she’s been through and get over his betrayal. She will struggle to find the exit of that horrible maze, but she will make it.
Her faith and her last hopes will give her the strength that she needs. The pain inside her heart will be her greatest teacher. Her sorrow will shape her into the bravest human being possible. She will find a way to heal those wounds. And once again, she will stand up on her feet.
True love will eventually find her. She will find what she’s been looking for because she deserves that. The memories of you will slowly fade away and it will be as though you never even existed. But she… She will thrive. She will finally understand the real definition of happiness. She will love again, but this time it will be for real. It will be just the way it was always supposed to be. Pure, all-consuming and passionate.
So, trust me when I say this…
She may be broken now, but she is not hopeless. For one day, she will find the strength inside that pretty little heart and she will love again.
