I see you tiptoeing around everything. You desperately want to make things right. You are obsessed with success. You want to do right, you want to make yourself proud. You want to make your parents proud. You want to let the whole world that you can. Deep down, you want to meet people’s expectations. Hey, come on… You know you do.
After all, that’s how this society functions today. We are nothing without other people’s validation. We don’t see our value until someone points it out for us. It’s truly pathetic.
Tell me, why are you afraid of failing?
Is it because you are terrified of exposing your weaknesses to the world?
Or perhaps because you are used to always having things your way?
Whatever your answer is, your fear is completely irrational. Not to mention how paralyzing and damaging it is to you and everyone around you. If you, my friend, continue to live your life avoiding making mistakes, you’re never going to succeed. If you treat your mistakes like sins, if the slightest idea of failure gives you the chills, you are never going to achieve your dreams. This I guarantee you. Because I know it from my personal experience.
Making mistakes is not the end of the world, my friend. It is not something that you should be ashamed of or worse avoid. And it is definitely not something that you should beat yourself up about. Making mistakes is an essential part of the learning process. In other words, it is the best way to gather information about your errors during that process. Mistakes fill in the empty gaps. They help you piece the puzzle together and see the bigger picture.
Making mistakes doesn’t make you a failure. They don’t take away your worth. They don’t make you less than you already are. They simply add more knowledge and experience to your life and prepare you for the next chapter.
You never lose anything, even if it seems so. You only gain more.
Many people find it hard to understand this and it saddens me. It saddens me to know that a lot of people have no idea how much potential they have inside their hearts. How much their determination and faith can change their world. It saddens me to see that a lot of people out there are living shallow, miserable lives inside their comfort zone because their fear of failing is stronger than their will of being free.
It’s really not rocket science, you guys. There’s no big mystery to all of this. It is pretty simple. If you want something badly and you put your mind to it, you will do it. And nothing will stop you. Not even your mistakes or your failures. You will fall, but you will get up stronger. Because deep down you’ll know that you are capable of achieving everything that you imagine, even the things that seem like they are way out of your reach…
There are plenty of people out there living the life of their dreams. The life that you so desperately crave. Some of them are less talented, less strong and less incredible than you, but they somehow did it… And you know how? It’s simple. They believed they could, and they did.
So, tell me. What are you still waiting for?!
