5 Effective Ways To Stop Worrying So Much And Start Living A More Peaceful Life

Worries are a part of our everyday life. We tend to worry about our payday, worry about the fight we had with our partner, worry if we’re good enough, worry about the world, worry if we left the stove on, worry what people think about us, worry about getting a raise, finding a better job, marrying and having children, going on vacation.

In other words, we worry too much.

However, even though we live in a world full of stressors where we can’t stop worrying completely, we can definitely find a way to limit our worries and focus on a more care-free point of view.

As I said, we all tend to worry, but it is essential to identify whether your issues are simple everyday worries, or they are the roots of anxiety.

For example, while anxiety is more general, worries are more specific. They take place in our heads, whereas anxiety usually affects our entire body.

Worries may be exhausting, but unlike anxiety, they stimulate our brains to engage in a problem-solving mode quickly. Worries are based on reality, have practical origins, and last for a shorter period of time than anxiety.

All in all, worries are surprisingly and essential part of our life. Because even though they sometimes weigh our minds, they show that we are human, and we care.

The only thing we need to master is the art of carefully giving a f*ck.

We shouldn’t waste our f*cks recklessly, instead, we should learn to preserve them and give them at the appropriate place and time.

So, here are 5 simple and effective methods to stop worrying and truly live a peaceful life:

 1. ASK YOURSELF WHAT CAN YOU DO TO STOP YOURSELF FROM WORRYING

Identifying and recognizing the source of your issues is the first thing you need to do in order to start living a more peaceful life.

Is it something that you can change or is it something that is beyond your control?

If it’s the second one, there’s no point in wasting any more time or energy on that issue. Remember: Only the things that are in your power are worthy of taking action.

2. GET INSIDE THE CORE OF YOUR ISSUE AND TRY TO FIND A LOGICAL, MORE RATIONAL WAY OF SOLVING IT

Oftentimes we get so lost in our problems, that we forget how trivial and meaningless some of them are compared to some more serious issues in our life.

That is why it is essential to get inside the core of the problem and find a more rational way of perceiving and solving that same issue, every time you catch yourself obsessing over something.

3. START PRACTICING MINDFULNESS

The art of mindfulness. Reaching that sublime state of awareness about yourself and everything that surrounds you is something that not all of us have the courage and energy to achieve.

But, it is something we all strive to reach. Becoming conscious of everything means accepting and embracing life as it comes. Most people tend to mistake acceptance for passively accepting problems, but that it’s entirely untrue.

Accepting your reality means facing it head-on – the things you like as well as the things you hate. It means being courageous to embrace everything life has to give. And then change and modify the things that are under your control.

4. KEEP YOURSELF BUSY AND CREATIVE

Another thing that can help you relieve your mind from stress is engaging in a creative work, or anything you find enjoyable. We often tend to experience worry and anxiety when we’re focused more on our inner world than our external word.

Our mind does exactly the same thing when we’re bored to death. It picks an unresolved issue or an uncomfortable event from the past and obsesses over it.

Try doing something different today and you’ll see what I am talking about.

5. START EXERCISING

Regular exercising should be a must-do thing on your list. I’ve said it thousands of times, but I will say it again, exercising, at least 2-3 times a week is the best thing you can do to improve and maintain your health.

Including physical activities to your daily routine will not only help you lose weight and tone your muscles, but it will only make you feel happier, more relaxed, it will boost your energy levels and help you improve your brain health.
