Love is beautiful. But sometimes, love makes us forgive the ones who hurt us and give them many chances to start all over again. It forces us to turn a blind eye to their selfishness and give them a free pass for treating us badly.
In other words, sometimes love makes us choose others before ourselves.
I know a lot of people who’ve been in a situation like that. People who have decided to forgive the ones who hurt them and start all over again. And each time they did that, they only sank lower and lower. I say this because I’ve felt it. I say it because I know how it feels to believe in someone and have your heart broken over and over again.
That state of utter blindness and ignorance can have a really big impact on you. It can make you lose your sense of self and forget how worthy you really are. Ultimately, it can destroy your entire life into pieces.
That’s why it is important to learn how to let go.
I know it’s hard. But you know what? It’s much harder to suffer and pretend that nothing is happening just because you are too afraid to lose someone from your life.
This might come as a shocker, but the truth is, not every person in your life is meant to stay forever. And that’s okay. Not everyone out there deserves your energy and your love. Some people only want you because there’s something about you they want to take advantage of.
They do not deserve to be a part of your life. For they don’t care about you as much as you care about them.
So, it’s okay to let go. As much as it frightens you and makes you feel uncomfortable, it’s okay to outgrow people.
But, when that happens, when you finally realize that you have to part ways with someone, you need to respect that shift. You need to embrace it without being afraid of what might come next. You need to honor those changes and understand that not every root is meant to stay in the same soil forever.
The truth is, nothing is permanent. And the sooner you realize that the better off you will be. So, go ahead. Do yourself a favor and move on.
Choose to fight for yourself. Choose freedom.
Outgrow them by distancing yourself from their negativity.
Outgrow them by choosing to follow your heart.
Outgrow them by embracing the changes.
Outgrow them by surrounding yourself with people and things that make you smile.
Outgrow them by realizing your worth and refusing to settle for less.
