I can’t help but notice that nowadays we see a lot of couples with huge age differences between them. Whether it’s a young woman with a much older man or a young guy with older women for a partner, we see more and more bonds like this.
And even though some people find it weird and unnatural, this is already globally accepted.
And why shouldn’t it be? We should be free to choose whomever we wish to spend our time with unless of course, the potential partner is an underage.
But, as I said, people often wonder why women get in relationships with older women, and also why older men prefer younger partners. So, without further ado, here are 8 honest and straightforward reasons why older men usually go for younger women:
1. MID-LIFE CRISIS
For men who have just faced a terrifying and perplexing mid-life crisis, whether it was a divorce, a separation or a recent career disaster, dating a younger, more flexible and understanding woman comes as validation. They are finally appreciated and admired for who they really are.
2. THE NEED FOR ADVENTURE
However, not all of them search for a long-term relationship. Older men have already gone through life and settled down. But, some of them didn’t even get the chance to make it a good one. So, no matter how weird it may sound to you, some of these people often look for a little, harmless adventure. They want to experience the world from a different perspective. They want to explore and just enjoy life. What’s wrong with that?
3. THE ALLURE OF YOUTH
There’s a certain glow, a vibe, an uncontrollable energy that radiates from a young woman who is ready to take over the world. This is truly inspiring and attractive for men, especially the ones who’ve already experienced a sudden existential crisis.
4. YOUNGER WOMEN ARE FRUITFUL
The most common reason why older men sometimes go for younger women is their desire to eventually create a family of their own. Sadly, women of older age are not always as fruitful and fertile as many younger women. Psychologists say that men dating young women is all about “ensuring that a prospective partner is fertile.”
5. YOUNGER WOMEN ARE MORE OPEN-MINDED
Younger women are more open. They are prone to changes. They are not afraid to express their emotions and state their opinions. They tend to think outside the box. And they prefer to color outside of the lines. Something that older men are not always so familiar with. That is why younger women are often perceived as a challenge.

But, oftentimes older men also seek for validation. They need someone who would look past their insecurities, help them get through the rough patch and rise from the ashes. Younger women understand that, and they know how substantial mutual support is.

No matter how unpleasant it sounds, some younger women are simply more open to experiments. They are flexible, free and comfortable with their sexuality. At the end of the day, we’re all free to choose who is going to become a part of our life and who isn’t.

But, after all, is it possible that men just fear aging? Is it possible that they date younger women just to feel more alive and vigorous? Is it because they search for a shelter, someone who’d look after them and make a difference in their lives?
