Genuine People Are Rare: If You Have Them In Your Life, Cherish Them

We live in a society that it’s designed to kill every bit of hope left inside our hearts. A society that desperately tries to destroy our authenticity by creating cheap copies.

A society full of hypocrites. Merciless liars. Fake smiles. Distorted truths. Selfishness. All for the sake of gaining more and more power.

People are nice to others only when they need something. They turn their backs on others in the blink of an eye. They lie to get what they want. They hide their feelings and pretend they’re heartless.

So, if there’s something we desperately crave, that’s real authenticity. Honesty. More truth. What we need are genuine individuals. People who would dare to lead us and take us out of the dark.

These people are rare, but they do exist.  So, I say, cheers to them!

Cheers to their beautiful souls. Cheers to their transparent, vulnerable hearts. May we keep raising them. May we grow up to be them!

These are 8 rare qualities only truly genuine people possess:

1. THEY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES

You have to admit that not every person out there has the courage and integrity to admit when they’re wrong. Most of the people can barely stand being proved wrong.

It takes a great deal of authenticity, transparency, bravery and a clean heart to be able to identify your weakness, admit it and eventually overcome it.

2. THEY DETERMINE THEIR OWN PATH IN LIFE

These rare individuals are eternal dreamers. And they are remarkably talented doers.

They are not afraid to take bold risks, even when there’s the slightest chance of reaching their deepest desires. That is why they are determined to walk their own journey.

Their own path. No matter how different, scary or unfamiliar it appears to be.

3. THEY DON’T CARE WHETHER PEOPLE LIKE OR DISLIKE THEM

A true authenticity is measured by a person’s sense of comfort in its own shoes. When you are completely aware of who you are, what you feel and what you choose to believe in, there’s not a force strong enough that will ever shake your self-awareness.

Truly genuine beings avoid wasting their time stressing over the opinions of others. They know that there will always be people who despise them, and there will always be individuals who love them.

4. THEY TEND TO SPEAK THEIR MIND

And they do it loudly. They don’t shy away from sharing their beliefs with people, even when their opinions are the opposite of what others generally think.

They don’t need to force someone to believe their words. Because every person out there has a God-given right to choose their own path and their own way of thinking.

5. THEY POSSESS A SOLID SELF-ESTEEM

Self-confidence is the first step to self-respect. But, just like everything else, an increased level of self-esteem can slowly turn into a bad thing.

It is essential to know your worth in life, but it is even more important to be able to accept criticism, in every form possible.

6. THEY ARE PERFECTLY AWARE THAT FAILURE IS JUST ANOTHER LESSON

The road to success is not a paved, easy short-cut. It is rocky, steep, mountain that guarantees a few failures before you finally conquer its peak.

People with genuine and truthful souls know that the only way to achieve greatness is by moving forward. By falling eight times, but getting up nine.

It’s facing difficult and dangerous obstacles but never giving up. It is failing, but picking yourself up and still moving forward. Despite all of the hardship.

7. THEY BUILD OTHERS UP INSTEAD OF PUSHING THEM DOWN

Only a genuine, warm-hearted individual would choose to keep building people up instead of pushing them down. Only an authentic and pure soul would understand that reaching success has nothing to do with pushing others down.

The only way to reach greatness is through solidarity, team-work and a lot of hard work. An ego-trip will get you nowhere near your goal.
