Just like everyone needs rest when they are overwhelmed with physical work, we also need emotional healing when we have undergone periods of stress, grief, and heartbreak. Same as we need to heal physical injuries, we need to heal emotional wounds too.

However, the first thing we must do is admit that we need healing and then allow it to happen. Here are 6 revealing signs that you are in dire need of emotional healing.

1. YOU ARE STUCK IN THE SAME ROUTINE FOR SO LONG

If you have a feeling that you are not moving, that you are stuck in the same situations, same jobs, same relationship even though you desperately want to move on – then, it is time to cut some cords, change your mindset and start looking for new things to bring into your life. You are clearly having an emotional turmoil even if you can’t see it, so you need to start healing.

2. YOUR MIND IS CONSTANTLY WORKING

When you are in dire need of emotional healing, but you don’t want to face your emotions – you tend to distract yourself. All this leads to your mind constantly working and obsessing over things. Your stress levels may become higher and you will feel anxious and less productive. Be kind to yourself. Take a break and let yourself heal emotionally.

3. YOU REACT BEFORE YOU THINK

You get way too emotional over little things and you tend to act without thinking. If you find yourself in situations where every little thing annoys you and you lose control, then it is time for you to face your emotions that you’ve buried deep inside and start healing your heart.

This is one of the biggest signs that you need emotional healing. When your trust issues have been hurt and you no longer trust anyone, it is time to face those lingering issues and heal them.

5. YOUR INTUITION IS BLOCKED

Your gut feeling is the little voice in you that is telling you what you should expect to happen before it happens. But, when you are emotionally wounded and hurt, your intuition may be off because trauma oftentimes blocks it and leaves you unarmed.

6. YOU FEEL IMMENSE SADNESS

You feel sad without a reason. You can’t explain why, but oftentimes you feel empty, drained, and hurting from the inside. That is your body telling you that you have unhealed wounds inside you that you need to heal in order to move on with your life.

Listen to your body and the signs it sends you. Your body and your mind know what is best for you and you should take their warnings seriously and start with the healing process.
